The Scientific Research Service Platform is located on the fifth floor of Building RD8 in the Park, with an area of 2,570 m2, which mainly provides functional space for R&D institutions' experiments and research. The public laboratory for lease is of 2,155 m2 equipped with test beds and refined decorations. It can be used as a R&D platform for food, medicine, cosmetics, and so forth, by the in-Park enterprises. The laboratory for R&D services of 415 m² is operated and managed by a team from the GTMCM Park, with testing equipment such as liquid chromatography, and other small-scale research facilities, such as a slicer for traditional Chinese medicine, grinder, extraction and enrichment machine for traditional Chinese medicine, dryer, blender, granulator, compressing machine, pelletizing machine, and capsule-filling machine. The services include commissioned R&D, secondary development of product, registration for foreign and domestic products, among others. This laboratory for R&D services is also the substation of the main R&D station for Post-Doctoral work in the Hengqin New Area.

The Third-party Testing Platform is located on the sixth floor of Building RD8 in the Park with an area of 2,517 m2, which serves for bringing in third-party testing platforms and self-built laboratories of the in-Park enterprises.

The main technical specifications of the functional space are as follows: the height of the fifth and sixth floor is 6 meters, each floor is equipped with two passenger elevators and two cargo lifts, fully equipped with various electromechanical equipment, well-designed floor plan, adequate space usage with flexible divisions to satisfy the customized requirements of different R&D enterprises.
